Tecpint Tecno Prodist Silicate Consolidant is a fixative for stone and brick walls formulated to strengthen and protect surfaces of natural stone, brick and other porous materials in both interior and exterior construction. This silicate consolidant is used as a base or primer, providing a highly adherent and resistant layer over which lime or silicate paints can be applied, maximising the durability and finish of coatings. I used it on an imitation natural stone that was flaking. First brushing to remove the loose material, then two coats and now it is compact and does not lose sand. I don't know how long the effect will last. I guess it depends on the sun and rain.

Although we will have to wait and see over time to see if it is 100% compliant, for the moment the sandstone surfaces are well consolidated and nothing is coming off.
The product was spray applied and gave a higher yield per square metre than indicated.

I have some old bricks that were falling apart due to humidity and I have given it a first coat and the deterioration has stopped completely. It has become very compact. I only commented that they have darkened a little, but it is not a problem at all. It was much worse to see them fading. Very happy with this product.

I have finished a very modern house that has many concrete walls, and I had to put a product that would NOT modify the appearance of the concrete but would seal the material to avoid having everything dirty with dust. It was the holy word, put it on and with two coats, the product is absorbed, it does not shine, leaving the same colour of the concrete, a little darker, but almost imperceptible. EXCELLENT PRODUCT
I have to add that to finish this job I have tried three other different products before, they stuck so well and once dry, they shined so much and this one was without doubt the best.
Also beware that it has to be a mineral sealant.
