Uninsulated or poorly insulated façades and walls allow heat or cold to escape and cause the house to lose the heat or cool air provided by its heating and air-conditioning systems. Rooms become uncomfortable and heating and air-conditioning bills soar.
The solution: an eco-friendly and breathable system comprising insulating putty and thermal paint containing microspheres, applied to the exterior, the interior or both, if possible.
The surface must be sound, dry, clean and free from dust. Remove any loose particles, poorly adhering paint and damp patches. Protect the surrounding areas: silicate paint splatters.
Chips: Apply with a RESIPRO PLUS brush and, after 20 minutes, fill in with M-REPAR FACHADAS. Cracks greater than 2 mm: open them up, clean them out and fill them with MASITEC FLEX W.
If necessaryHighly absorbent pad: TECPINT SILICATE CONSOLIDANT. On unpainted plaster: TECPINT PRIMER.
Apply the filler using a special filler roller and finish with a putty knife or directly with a trowel. Coat thickness: 4 to 5 mm; if you wish to apply a thicker coat, allow it to dry for 4 to 6 hours for every 4 mm and sand it after 24 hours using 60 to 120-grit sandpaper.
Finish with TECPINT SOL-SILICATO TERMIC: a mineral paint containing microspheres that insulates, is highly water-repellent and breathable, and inhibits the growth of mould and mildew. Apply three coats: the first as a primer, diluted with up to 5 % of water; the second and third coats undiluted or with very little water. Leave at least 10 hours between coats and spread the paint evenly, avoiding thick layers. Use a brush, roller or airless spray gun (in the latter case, use a 1.5 to 2 mm nozzle and a maximum pressure of 75 atm).
Do not applyIn direct sunlight or where the stand has become overheated, at temperatures above +35 °C or below +5 °C, or on horizontal or sloping surfaces outdoors.
Paintwork in poor conditionScrape and clean the damaged areas, then apply one coat of TECPINT SILICATE CONSOLIDANT.
The wall or ceiling must be clean, dust-free and dry. Remove any loose bits and mould, and fill in any cracks. Is there textured paint? There’s no need to remove it: the filler mentioned in step 6 will cover it.
If necessaryTempera paint, in poor condition or dusty: remove any loose parts and consolidate with TECPINT SILICATE CONSOLIDANT.
The filler smooths and insulates at the same time, even on textured plaster, paint or tiles. Apply it with a filler roller and finish with a spatula or trowel, in layers of 2 to 5 mm, then sand after 24 hours using 60 to 120-grit sandpaper.
Finish with TECPINT TERMIC ECOLOGIC: a mineral-based paint containing microspheres that provides insulation, is washable, breathable and prevents condensation. Stir thoroughly and apply three coats: the first as a primer, with up to 5 % of water; the second and third, undiluted or with very little water. Allow at least 10 hours between coats and spread the paint evenly, avoiding thick layers. Apply with a brush, roller or airless spray gun (in the latter case, use a 1.5 to 2 mm nozzle and a maximum pressure of 75 atm).

My case was complicated because above my house there are tiles, I needed some insulation for the roof because in summer it gets very hot, at first I had thought of applying thermal paint only but when I called me a guy from the technical department was very kind and was interested in the problem, he recommended me to do a more solid treatment than just with paint, he recommended me to apply this putty on the ceiling and on a piece of the vertical walls to attenuate the entrance of heat and then apply one of his thermal paints in 3 layers, and so I did, the truth is that we have noticed the result, I could say that the temperature has dropped about 5 or 6 degrees for sure, satisfied with the result and the service.

I spoke to the company to ask for an interior thermal paint as my house is very old and has no camera on the walls facing the outside, when I told them this they recommended me to apply half a centimetre of this product on those walls before painting, they gave me the instructions of everything very well and when it dried we applied the Tecpint Termic paint, I can confirm that it has worked, my house is much more livable now, even when talking the walls no longer rumble, it is as if it dampens the sound, really impressed with the result in every way.
